OTFA Annual Technical Course
The OTFA Technical Course was created to be a National student and instructor-training course, similar to the ITF International Instructor Course [IIC] that would allow our members a two-day practical seminar in order to improve all Technical aspects of their Taekwon-Do training.
The OTFA has been conducting this course since 2011 and has made it available to not just OTFA members, but also all Taekwon-Do practitioners throughout the USA.
Unlike the ITF IIC, which is only open to ITF member black belts, the OTFA has made this course available to all Gup and Dan ranks.
The OTFA Technical Course is held each year in a different location throughout the USA and it covers the complete Physical Composition of Taekwon-Do: Fundamental Movements, Dallyon [conditioning/equipment training], Patterns, Sparring and Self-defense. While this course includes all aspects of Taekwon-Do training, the emphasis is on improving the technique and knowledge of students for rank advancement and for instructors to improve their teaching ability. The main focus is on Fundamental movements, their meaning, purpose and application in patterns, prearranged sparring, free sparring and self-defense.
