Cody R. Springsguth


Master Cody R. Springsguth is a 7th degree black belt with 30 years of martial arts experience. Prior to his martial arts training, Master Springsguth served in the United States military. His military leadership and experience drew him to further his education regarding martial arts. He has studied numerous martial arts including: Taekwon-Do, Tang Soo-Do, Escrima, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu.He trained extensively in Taekwon-Do, having numerous training sessions with Grand Master C.E. Sereff. Those training sessions formed a bond, which led to Master Springsguth’s honor in calling Grand Master C.E Sereff his instructor. Also, he had the esteemed privilege to train numerous times with the late General Choi Hong Hi in seminars throughout the United States. From the training tools he learned from General Choi Hong Hi and Grand Master C.E. Sereff, Master Springsguth successfully competed in national and international competitions, including the 7th ITF World Championships. Aside from his training, Master Springsguth holds ITF certification as an International Instructor as well as an International Umpire. Master Springsguth has been teaching as the Head instructor at the SoCal Martial Arts Center in Chula Vista, California for 20 years. He has coached a number of students at national and international competitions, including the ITF Junior World Championships. In his free time, Master Springsguth is a high school wrestling coach as well as a mixed martial arts coach.
