2015 OTFA Open III

The OTFA OPEN was created in 2012 in order for our members to have access to a Nationally run ITF Taekwon-Do competition. The purpose of which, to improve the technical standard of our competitors, coaches and umpires, as well as for each to gain valuable practical tournament experience.

This was our 3rd year hosting the OTFA OPEN in Las Vegas, Nevada and we welcomed all ITF competitors from throughout the USA, as well as International competitors from Canada, Jamaica and Uzbekistan.

This year’s event featured spirited color belt and world-class black belt competition, regulation sized rings, new ITF electronic scoring systems, LCD Screens and high-level officiating at the modern Longevity Sports Center.

All the athletes left happy and satisfied with the level of the competition and officiating and many commented on how organized and well-run the event was.

The OTFA would like to say thank you to Mr. Chris Law from Canada for his help with running the new ITF scoring systems and the tournament in general.

The OTFA OPEN has evolved each year since its inception, with better venues, world-class competitors from across the globe, ITF electronic scoring systems and ITF Certified Umpires officiating. This event allows our Tournament Committee, umpires and competitors the training they need in order to compete or umpire at high-level competitions both Nationally and Internationally.

The OTFA is committed to building this event into one of the premier ITF Taekwon-Do competitions in the USA for all National and International competitors, as well as a qualifier for USA National Team selection.
